(Okay, so this is not a Van Gogh painting but rather an interpretation Van Gogh’s famous ear story, WOLVERINE! What really happened to his ear? The world may never know)!

FUN FACTS

1. Van Gogh had an older brother who died at birth. His name was also Vincent van Gogh.

2. Van Gogh only sold one painting during his lifetime and only became famous after his death.

3. Van Gogh created his most famous work, The Starry Night. while staying in an asylum in Saint-Remy-de-Provence, France.

4. Van Gogh wrote over 800 letters in his lifetime. The majority of them written to his brother and closest friend Theo.

5. In a short period of ten years, Van Gogh created approximately 900 paintings. In just ten years, he created 900 paintings that are now known to be some of the     greatest works of art ever created.

6. Van Gogh shot himself in a wheatfield in Auvers, France but did not die until 2 days later at the age of 37.
